Good app BUT Dissapointed

Good app that I love using on iPhone and iPad DAILY! however, since a dropbox sync problem, the customer service, once communicative, got silent and doesnt respond to mail anymore, even though I sent several mail again. DISSPOINTED (: I would (and did) give the app 5 stars, the moment the customer service gets alive back and helps with the problem.

Nope

Software keeps crashing and usability is really bad.

Complex app with lots of options

There are a lot of apps in the app store that either track habits, moods or events. I tried a few of them but was never really satisfied. I needed to count things - like how many pieces of fruit have I eaten today. I needed to track if have I done things at all - like gone to the sports studio. I needed to rate things - like how was my mood at the office. For each of these things there was an app. But there was none for all of these. So there never was a real overview over all of it for me. Now I found TracknShare. It tracks all of these things and more. This adds to the complexity of it of course so it takes a little while to sink ones teeth into the logic and idea behind the app. It does take some getting used to but if you let yourself accept the concept the app really does a lot for you. Aside from the formalized things like tracking and counting you can always add notes and make things more personal. The items to track are highly customizable albeit not always as and where I expected. This also takes a bit of getting used to but on the whole it is worth the time I put into it. It is true - the app does crash occasionally but I never lost any data. All I have to do is re-start and Im back where I left off. In that regard TracknShare is no worse than many other apps. I never tried the sharing part of the app because I dont think that any of the stuff Im tracking here are anybodys beeswax so I cannot say anything about that. The backup / restore part works fine. I tried it because I want to use it on my iPhone but setting things up was more comfortable on the bigger screen of the iPad. So I tried the app on both devices - transferring my data and customizations via backup and restore. I can say the user interface makes good use of the possibilities that both screen formats offer. Well done. The only thing I would like to be improved is the response time when I choose a category to track items in. I tap a category and the app takes some seconds to react. A visual confirmation of I felt your tap - hang on a sec, I gotta work a bit would be nice. So in a nutshell its a great app. Not perfect but very good. I am glad to have it and hope for future improvements.

Keeps you honest

I love this app. Its fun to use and easy to monitor a plethora of behaviors, moods, etc. Goodbye excel, hello Track & Share.

User friendly with minor glitch

Easier to remember to track my health and see trends than using my journal. Im tracking health issues and I just now thought I should track my smoking habits. Its easy to add new items to track and i will add cigarettes after this review. I only ranked this 3 stars since I cannot seem to get push to work. I am a new iPhone user, and if it ends up being something I did wrong, I will edit my review.

Like the concept ... Too many bugs

This is a neat concept. The current version has lots of bugs though. The developer said they are going to clean it up. Took me a while to figure out how to toggle graph modes. Its a bit too limited in functionality. The next step in development would be to show some sort of correlation data. Based on bugs, limited functionality Id definitely say it not worth the 4.99

Love it!

This app was made for me. Really customizable. Seemed expensive at first ... But it can do so much. If you want to track your progress toward a goal, manage your food or exercise, monitor a physical symptom, anything really, or all of it at once ... this is the one.

Track and Share

This app seems to have many bugs but the developers seem to be actively trying to improve it. Try the lite version before you buy.Tr

I like it

Just started using this app and have been customizing it for my use. Havent run into any bugs so far (will update if I do find any). This needs a way to keep data in sync across devices automatically - I emailed the developer and they are working on that now. For now I consider this a 4 star app. When sync comes and so long as I dont find any serious bugs I can see this being 5 stars for me.

Great App

I love this app. It is easy to use and allows me to track whatever I want.

Exceptional!!

Been using this app daily for a month now and I have not seen any bugs. I started with the free trial and made up a few things to track. Then bought the full version and transferred my tracked items seamlessly. Created a large set of new items to track and added a category or two. After a week added a few more items. This all worked as expected. Features that stand out for me are that the badge reminds me how many items I have not filled in today, and I can export the data to a spreadsheet to do any fancy analysis that I want. The badge reminder can be set to ignore any items that I deem optional, and the built in graphing is good enough that I have not felt a great need to export the data to excel but I tested the capability. You can make multiple entries for each item each day and they get time stamped and you can add a comment. Also you can change the time stamp so if you want to record your blood pressure at 2 pm but dont make the entry until bed time, you can set the time stamp to 2 pm, and for each item you can add a comment such as "just ran a mile" to note why your blood pressure might be high. Finally, I like that I can go back and edit entries. This helps if I made an error or if I later want to clarify something with a comment. Setting up new items and categories seemed a bit clumsy at first but I think that it was mostly a matter of the iPad standard user interface (got the iPad only a couple of weeks before). My advice is to just experiment and the UI becomes easy and intuitive in a short time. I have now tried hundreds of different apps from games to painting, and this one stands out as intuitive (wrt filling in the tracking data), no nonsense (does one thing well without unwanted bells and whistles), robust (no crashes), and well designed. I havent seen any iPad app that would compete with this for tracking whatever you want.

Rather Convenient!!

Apps is a bit quirky/buggy, does take a while to get it all set up. Once set, it is very convenient. I imagine it will only get better.

So glad to have found this.

This has been a Godsend! It covers so many other apps that I have been using and condenses them into one format and allows me to compare them all against each other. I can track my mood, my health, my tiredness, what Ive eaten and what time of the female month it is and co-relate them all to see if theres a pattern. Im using it to build habits such as make my bed, drink enough water and keep in contact with friends. Ive set it to monitor whether I have expressed thanks and to note what made me feel happy that day and its helped my daily outlook. I hope it helps you too. My only complaint? When I have neglected to fill in some notes or monitor my carbohydrate/veg/protein/etc consumption it can tell me how many items I still need to fill in but wont lead me to them - that would be a great addition.

Great app that could add some bonuses

I love the fact that I can track my habits but my progress on anything not just numerical data, but what did I also, like what I used wash my face, oil cleans vs. cleansing milk, vs steaming vs. regular soap. The fact you can look by month or by chart allows for great was to view progress. The fact the line/bar/icon charts are stack make it easy to compare charts to see correlations. Weaknesses of app So what are the down sides it still a little glitchy on icons, if you have to correct your icon it may not always take. You also cannot predetermine how many icons you want which is a big flaw, if you ask me, for an app that is supposed to be fully customizable. Instead you are force to chose from their pre defined list, which means that If you need use specifically 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 icons you cannot (but you cans use 12, highest amount of icons given). You cannot store icons that you made in the icon library but more of an inconvenience than a flaw. Bonuses this app DOESNT have but would be great: 1 More graph colours (for bars and lines). 2. A pie chart option so you can see overal scope different icons in a week month or year for item or overall items (of similar data) per category. 3. Library to store your own icons 4. Line listing for notes, great that you can see what days you wrote notes but a list with a title or first line of each note would make it easier to find certain incidences or key notes. Right now you get an icon. 5. Being able to see several icons in day on calendar per category. That would be another way to connect allergies, sensitivities or other triggers to days a person has minor/major reactions.

Best in category; keep updating.

Takes a bit to work through how everything fits together, but has met almost all of my needs. I evaluated 7 or 8 other similar apps. This gave me the most control and was by far the fastest to update multiple items at once, while allowing me to see my last entry. Would really love to have the option of hourly graphs over the course of a day in addition to d/w/m. I make upwards of a dozen entries a day for a single item, but have no visibility into this short of exporting to csv/Excel.

Exceptional

Terrific visual program that is very flexible, easy to use and fabulous support if needed. Thanks, just what I needed to keep track of health issues.

Flexible

Very helpful app for tracking a number of things quickly and easily. Once you figure out the options its very easy to customize.

Ideal tracker

I used the light version before, several times, until I decided I really need it. It really helps keep things simple, and it is very stable.

TracknShare Pro

Fantastic! Completely customizable and still easy to use. Im impressed!

I am already addicted and I just bought it!

So far I have only used the Lite version, but was so impressed by it I jumped through the manifold hoops Apple puts in the way of purchase for a Canadian wanting to use PayPal to make the purchase. I love the idea of keeping realistic track of various parts of life and being able to see trends and progress at a glance. There are only two things I would suggest to improve it even further: a sleep chart that is more detailed than "more" and "less" etc.; one that covered a matrix of 24 hours (i.e. by having 24 boxes on the y axis and 7 or 30 or whatever on the x axis) that could map sleep more precisely (would benefit shift workers, students, new mommies etc.) and the incorporation of a matrix for tasks that have to be done at some point in the week, but arent nailed to one day in particular (i.e. I do laundry several times a week, but that is dependent on what needs washing, duh) It could have the tasks noted on the y axis and the days of the week noted on the x axis, with a visual representation at the end of the week to show whether you really did do all those chores you had in mind at the start of the week. :-) Great app as it is, and god bless you for making it so multi-sided and remembering things like pain and mood. :-) You guys rock!
